What's new for the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe in 2024?
The Willys trim adds more off-road-ready features, such as rock rails and all-terrain tires, among other changes. Each Wrangler 4xe model now comes with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen as a standard option as well. You can even equip the Wrangler 4xe with 12-way power-adjustable seats for added comfort.
Performance
The Wrangler 4xe derives power from a PHEV powertrain that includes a 2.0-liter Turbo inline-four engine that provides up to 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It's capable of going from 0-60 mph in as few as six seconds. Different drive modes can adjust the amount of performance of the Wrangler 4xe, and you can choose between Electric, Hybrid, and eSave. The 17.3-kWh battery can charge in fewer than two hours when using a Level 2 charger, and you can go up to 21 miles in all-electric mode.
Safety
The Jeep® Wrangler 4xe comes with new standard first and second-row side curtain airbags. It also offers driver-assist features, like a Forward Collision Warning system with Active Braking and Blind Spot Monitoring.
Technology
Each Wrangler 4xe comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with some options offering built-in navigation. You get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and can use the integrated voice commands to easily handle calls, play music, and other tasks without looking at the screen. You can also upgrade to an Alpine Premium Audio System that gives you nine speakers, a rear subwoofer, and an amp to provide an enhanced listening experience for your next adventure in Conroe.
Trim Highlights
- Sport S: The Sport S has a Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning System and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop. It also offers 20-inch aluminum wheels and a Corning Gorilla Glass windshield.
- Willys: This trim offers 33-inch off-road tires, Willys decals, and LED Lighting. It also sports steel rock rails and comes standard with a locking rear differential.
- Sahara: The Sahara comes with 20-inch black aluminum wheels, a 7-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display, and Remote Vehicle Start.
- High Altitude: The High Altitude offers premium leather-trimmed seats with 12-way power adjustable front seats. It also offers a Sky One-Touch Power Top. The 20-inch wheels have 33-inch tires.
- Rubicon: The Rubicon comes standard with a heavy-duty full float rear axle and has front and rear lockers with electronic sway bar disconnect. There's also a Rock-Trac 4:1 Low Range Transfer Case that comes with the 4x4 system.
- Rubicon X: The Uconnect® 5 NAV system powers the large 12.3-inch touchscreen, and there's a built-in forward-facing TrailCam for off-roading. It also boasts heated front leather seats and offers a three-piece hardtop. The steel bumpers on the Rubicon X can also accommodate a winch.

What is 4xe?
4xe is the lineup of Jeep® vehicles powered by a new plug-in hybrid powertrain. It pairs a gas engine with an electric motor and small battery to provide some all-electric driving range. It provides you with extra performance when needed, thanks to the PHEV engine. When the battery drains, you still have access to the gas engine until you recharge the battery. The enhanced performance means more available torque at a lower RPM range.
